Objectives¶
tecciance is committed to promoting a working environment that emphasizes equal opportunity and freedom from fear of harassment and bullying for all its employees and is particularly keen on empowering its female employees to create an atmosphere where all can work with dignity. It ensures that we have a workplace free of sexual harassment. Our policy prohibits all Employees from engaging in any unwelcome sexual conduct or making unwelcome sexual overtures, visual, verbal, or physical.
Scope¶
This policy applies to all our employees regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics, at all locations and is deemed to be incorporated in the service conditions of all employees, vendors, consultants, trainees and visitors. All workers, at every level, will be subject to discipline for any violation of this policy. The policy will be applicable both on and off company premises and during or outside of work hours. Local country laws will take precedence over this policy, in other geographies, if applicable.
Sexual Harassment¶
Sexual Harassment of an employee is any unwelcome sexually determined behavior, whether directly or indirectly, by any employee at any level either individually or in association with other persons to exploit the sexuality of a co-employee to harass him/her/them in a manner which prevents or impairs his/her/their utilization of full benefits, facilities or opportunities or any other behavior which is generally considered to be derogatory. Sexual Harassment includes but is not limited to:

Physical contact & sexual advances.

Demand or request for sexual favors.

Making sexually colored remarks.

Showing pornography.

Any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal or written conduct of a sexual nature.
Bullying¶
Workplace bullying can be defined as the repeated less favorable treatment of a person by another or others in the workplace, which may be considered unreasonable and inappropriate workplace practice. It includes behavior that intimidates, offends, degrades or humiliates a worker, possibly in front of co-workers, clients, or customers. Bullying includes but is not limited to:

Showcasing aggressive or intimidating behavior.

Victimizing other employees.

Using humiliating or belittling comments.

Demeaning employees by not recognizing their efforts.

Engaging in behaviors that jeopardize employees' self-esteem and professional standing.

Imposing irrational expectations and requests.

Taking credit for other’s work.

Accusing without substantiated evidence.
What is not workplace bullying:

Setting reasonable performance expectations and taking necessary actions if the employees fail to meet the expectations through clear communication.

Providing constructive feedback, guidance or counseling in a professional manner that helps the employees.

Reviewing and evaluating performance based on a set criteria or goal and providing feedback on areas of improvement.

Assigning tasks, responsibilities and projects based on requirements and employees’ expertise.
Consequence Management¶
It is the right of every employee to work in an environment that is free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. Any form of violation of the policy by an associate at any level will include severe disciplinary action, including termination. tecciance has a zero-tolerance policy against any employee that violates the regulations of the organization. Thus, any victim or witness of any form or act of harassment, bullying, or discrimination, has the right to report it to the organization’s HR department.
